Re: Team for Everton?
he scored? EE nearly got a hatrick in his 2nd game and deserves his place.

Yes but it was Blackburn and they are useless tbf, if it was a premiership side I would agree, but you couldn't leave him out in the next game against Sunderland.

Hasn't scored or got in any goal scoring positions in the last two games.

As I said lots of quality corners and crosses from Payet made for Carroll in the 1st half of the last two games.

Re: Team for Everton?
Ask yourself this Annony... has EE gelled with the team, does he fit in with fast, ball to feet football, has he scored?
Yes to all for me. AC hit the bar, he didn't score!

EE nearly got a hatrick in his 2nd game and deserves his place. He doesn't slow things down. AC has always been far more affective coming off the bench.. things have worked well as they are

That useless twat Anthony Taylor has shite form in WHU Vs Everton matches :

AND he denied us a stonewall penalty against Leicester earlier this season.

Re: Team for Everton?
Emenike is my only concern. I know he is more mobile than Carroll, but offers little else?

The first 60/70 mins of the last two games v Sunderland and Spurs that Emenike has started we have had many corners and freekicks with good deliveries completely wasted.

Carroll must have been uncomfortably on the bench watching it. Then when he did come on v Sunderland Byram headed it back for Carroll and he nearly broke the bar.

Re: Team for Everton?
The element of surprise we had with Tottingham will not be there today if Slav sticks with the 3 at the back (well 5 arguably if the wing backs are included) but with Baines and Coleman a big part of their attacking armoury it may be worth another go? We have to employ the 5 in midfield and advanced Antonio and Cresswell to crowd them out in the middle as we did with Spurs. However, we will not have the 12th man which was the UP crowd which forced the ref to let the game flow. Anthony Taylor has lots of previous and will listen to the Goodison crowd if we employ the same tactics and I can see him handing out the yellow cards to our lads and even reds.

We will need Emenike to run his socks off for 60 mins again along with the rest of the team. I would include Song for fresh legs in the middle at some point. Kouyate versus Lukaku will be a key dual as will Obiang and Noble containing Barkley and that French geezer they have.

Antonio.............................................Cresswell

NSD 2.30

Rose & walker start today which no surprise given they've both started last 3 league games prior to us midweek, rose had actually played 8 out of last 10 league games.

Re: Team for Everton?
Spurs didn't rest anyone.

Rose/Walker and Trippier/Davies rotate every game.
Alli wasn't fit enough for 90 mins.
Dembele was injured.

God you lot are thick

Trippier and Davies play nowhere near every other game, more like 1 in 5. And what's the difference between rotated and rested?

Who is their left back if both Baines and Oviedo (maybe) are out?

Ever since Mccarthy done Payet I've been watching the dirty cunt, their match against Carlisle was televised so I took a particular interest in this individual, his very first tackle was well late and he continued to snap away at the Carlisle midfielders.Dicksie get your boots on your country needs you.Bilic take note.

So we have only one defender fit plus a kid.
How surprising.

Re: Team for Everton?
I think people underestimate the work Lanzini does to cover on the right. You watch him working back and across all the time. Was epic earlier in the season against Liverpool for example and will double up with Antonio in defence

Re: Team for Everton?
I hope we play three at the back again with two wing backs. Kouyate and Ogbonna will be able to nurse Oxford into the back line and Lukaku might find it more difficult than usual to get the space he loves against us. I'm praying Oxford produces a more committed performance than he showed for the under-21s against Swansea a couple of weeks ago when he looked strangely below par.
I think it was croe who said recently that Reece Burke might play a bigger part in West Ham's future than Oxford, and I tend to agree.

Re: Team for Everton?
As for this resting bollox, Spurs have alternated their fullbacks game in game out for the last 3 months aside from Rose maybe playing the odd back to back game cos he's better than Davies. Ask most Spurs fans and they'll tell you Trippier has been better than Walker this season at right-back.

Dembele was injured and Alli wasn't able to play 90 mins cos he was recovering from a knock.

Mason's only back from injury and was a regular at the start of the season and one of their best players last year.

Son hadn't scored for 2 months whilst Chadli had bagged 4 in that timespan so I know who I'd have started up top.

Now if they'd rested Kane and Eriksen like was rumoured prior to the game then that's what you call resting players.

You do realise there's a difference between being fit to play 90 mins and say being fit to play 30 after being sidelined for 2-3 months with an injury.

Not everyone on a Manager's bench is expected to be able to play the whole game.
